So, I’ve been working really hard to detox my body from all the creeping crap that must be in there… Trying to take good care of myself is a full time job! Can anyone else relate? Following a very restricted form of the paleo diet, taking my supplements, sleeping enough.. goodness!! Aaaaaannnndd getting all those veggies in? So I decided to try some smoothie recipes to get all that goodness in there at the same time. Say bootcamp for your bod. This is a great detox smoothie that will help your skin glow, give you a kick of energy if your feeling sluggish and get a lot of the green goodness in you! Feel free to replace anything that you dont like in here, though the combo really works pretty good together for a not very sweet green goodness.
Ingredients:
1 Medium Green Apple Seeded (Granny Smith)
2 stalks celery
1/2 cucumber peeled
Juice of 1/2 lime
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 TBSP fresh ginger, chopped
1 cup Kale/spinach packed
1 cup coconut water
Instructions:
Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender and mix on high for approx 20 seconds, until all the ingredients are well blended.
Serve immediately! Keeps in fridge for about 48 hours. It will separate while settling. Just re-shake or pop in blender to combine again before drinking.
